LOUIS: A Silent Film with Live Musical Performance by WYNTON MARSALIS and CECILE LICAD at Balboa Theatre
In this very special evening, jazz icon Wynton Marsalis, renowned pianist Cecile Licad, and a 10-piece all-star jazz ensemble perform the score to the film Louis. Featuring a score of primarily Marsalis’ own compositions, this silent film from 2010 is an homage to Louis Armstrong, Charlie Chaplin, and the birth of American music.
