DesBorder: Cleanup Project

Join us on July 5, 2024 for a World Design Capital endorsed event. DesBorder: Together for a Cleaner Environment is a cross-border, community cleanup, with a twist, located at Veterans Plaza in Ocean Beach. Leading up to July 5th DesBorder will encourage our youth groups and schools to participate in art-making and educational activities promoting environmental awareness.

A sculpture in the shape of a whale (want a chance to name the whale?) and created from repurposed materials, will be at the heart of the first cleanup in OB and will be the start of our whale’s migration to neighboring coastal community cleanup events throughout the year. DesBorder brings communities together to tackle our waterway pollution.
